UDOT 1100 South/I-15 Project Update

July 17 – Aug. 7: Crews will shift the northbound I-15 off-ramp to the west while they pave a new ramp. Signs and temporary striping will direct traffic and exiting, eastbound traffic does not need to stop. Consider using the U.S. 89 exit in Willard as an alternate route to avoid possible congestion.

July 22 – 23: Crews will close one lane at a time on I-15 around the 1100 South bridge while they pour the bridge deck for the south bridge of the new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). Work will begin at 10 p.m. on July 22 and be complete at 10 a.m. July 23

Through July 31: Crews will place white geofoam, rather than dirt, for the embankments on both ends of the south bridge of the new Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI). Geofoam ensures durability during an earthquake and eliminates the need for 18-24 months of settlement time.
