REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS FOR
PERRY CITY
DEPUTY CITY RECORDER FOR HUMAN
RESOURCES AND FINANCE
Request is hereby made for applications for a
full-time “Deputy City Recorder for Human Resources and Finance”
merit position in the Perry City Offices, subject to the
following:
1.
Submission and
Deadline. An application
(available at the Perry City Offices), together with a resume,
must be submitted and received by Susan Obray, Recorder, at the
Perry City Offices, 3005 South 1200 West, Perry, Utah 84302 (Fax
No. 435-723-8584) no later than 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5,
2007.

Position Work
Description and
Qualifications. This is not an entry level
position. High school graduate. Type 40 words per minute and
be familiar with Excel and Microsoft Office Word software, as
well as Caselle financial software. At least two years
experience as a financial clerk or director or related position
working for a city or other governmental entity or agency.
Experience with preparing budgets and financial statements and
with accounts receivable. Experience with purchasing,
registering, insuring and or scheduling maintenance for motor
vehicles. Experience also needed with Human Resource management
or related position working for a city or other governmental
entity or agency.
3.
Selection. All applications received by the deadline will be
reviewed by the mayor, a council member, the city administrator
and/or others. One or more of these individuals will (1)
interview one or more applicants and (2) make a selection from
among the applicants, subject to approval by the city council,
and based upon criteria, including but not limited to the
qualifications set forth above, and other factors that Perry
City uses to assess the ability of an applicant to perform fully
and in good faith the requirements of this position.
4.
Reserved Rights.
Perry City, by and through its elected officials, reserves the
right to reject any or all applications,
to waive an informality in an application, and to hire an
individual for this position in the best interest of Perry City.
